Just had one of the best or maybe the best sandwich of my life. I randomly stopped by this little deli located in a plaza at the corner of Warner Ave and Beach Blvd. The lady who took my order was super friendly and helpful--she really knew her stuff and helped me pick the perfect sandwich. I went with "The Godmother": hot salami, ham, pepperoni, melted provolone, basil and red pesto, onions, tomato, arugula, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze--all on perfectly toasted Dutch Crunch bread with their house-made garlic spread. I added some jalapeños for an extra kick! The result was a masterpiece!!! The sandwich was amazing on its own, but their house made "pew" sauce took it to a whole other level. Definitely will be coming back!

The service was outstanding! It was our first time visiting, and the woman who took our order over the phone was incredibly patient and helpful, especially considering how busy they were when we arrived-- their phone was constantly ringing! As for the food, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The bread was incredible--crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. I had the Sub Culture Signature Sandwich, while my coworker opted for the Power RB. If you go for the large, it's definitely big enough to share! We're already planning our next visit to try out more options. I also really appreciate that if you're following a low-carb or gluten-free diet, they'll turn any sandwich into a salad for you. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures--let's just say the sandwich didn't last long enough for that!

We know what the hype is all about with these delicious Dutch crunch sandwiches. We came right before peak lunch and just be prepared to wait since you can obviously tell the staff takes their time making customers the best. I love how friendly all the staff were and checking up to see how we were doing during our meal. There's only about 4 tables outside so not much room, and a few bar stools inside so def a order to go kind of place but we were lucky to grab a seat for the four of us. The Godfather and Cubano were packed with so much rich flavor, and packed nicely that it didn't feel like we were just eating bread. I would def come back just to try one of their top sandwiches, I wanted to step outside the box this time and grab the Cubano but I'm a sucker for pastrami so it hit the spot either way. Was not disappointed

Dude. I'm literally sCREAMING! This place sooooo good and the people are the nicest ever...10000/10 for sure!

WOW, After seeing the rave reviews, we had to check out Subculture, and let me tell you--we were NOT disappointed. We were craving a memorable, delicious sandwich, and this place delivered. We ordered online and walked in to a super warm welcome from a woman who I later found out was the manager. She greeted every person who walked through the door with genuine enthusiasm, which set the tone for the whole experience. They have a self-ordering kiosk, and I watched as three people--including the manager--hustled to craft each sandwich with care. Someone was even slicing fresh meat in the back, which is always a good sign. The ambience? Cheerful, upbeat, and very "SoCal"--a perfect mix of surf and skate culture. Hearing The Cure playing in the background was just the cherry on top. Now, let's talk about the sandwiches. I got The SAX--a turkey and salami masterpiece. The vinaigrette on the arugula? INSANE. The red pepper sauce? Next level. I skipped the cheese, but honestly, the flavors were so on point I didn't even miss it. And the Dutch crunch bread? Straight-up to die for. One thing that really stood out? The quality. The meat was high-quality, and honestly, everything about the sandwich--the bread, the toppings, the sauces--was top-notch. I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and well-made everything was. And they don't skimp on portions--these sandwiches are stacked. The kind that make you feel like your mom made it, with love and zero stinginess on the meat. And just to give you an idea of how good the sandwiches are..when we sat down to eat, it was absolute silence. No small talk, no distractions--just each of us fully locked in, savoring every bite with an occasional audible moan of approval. The flavors, the texture, the pure dopamine rush--it was a full-on moment. They had plenty of outdoor seating, but I didn't see a bathroom--maybe there is one, I just didn't ask. Bottom line: If you're looking for an epic sandwich in a laid-back, welcoming spot, Subculture is it. My sister, my girlfriend, and I all loved it--and trust me, we know a good sandwich when we find one. Run don't walk! Your stomach is ill thank you!

Geeez, these babies smack. I've never craved a sandwich like I do now. Now a 3rd time visitor and I'll never stop coming. Any sandwhich you get is quality. Each time we have been greatly helped by Mrs.Lady and she gets deep into details of how much love they put into every sandwhich. She mentioned how the bread is perfectly set to accurately get the best toast on their yummy bread. Their pew sauce is heaven sent. Can't go wrong here!

Have ordered from this place at least 3x for a quick pick-me-up for lunch. All three times we have ordered different sandwiches and they have all been super good. I will say the sandwiches are a bit pricey but the quality matches what you pay for. I can't finish a sandwich on my own. I haven't been inside because I send my minion (hubby) to pick up food from here so can't comment on the service or ambience. However, the minion has not mentioned anything negative with regards to those, so it must be decent. Definitely no complaints here!

These are definitely extraordinary sandwiches oh man were they good Came here with some friends and we ordered a firebird w/ pepperoni and a god father The Godfather is for the kind of person who loves Italian sandwiches and is there go to and it's an amazing sandwich even if your not the biggest Italian fan The Firebird is for the kind of person who can get down with a chicken bacon ranch kind of situation. This one was my personal favorite I have a huge weak spot for loaded sandwiches with cream cheese in them Placing an order was fast if you're new they'll give you the rundown. We sat outside worried about not hearing them call our name for the order and we sure did they will make it known when your foods done. Theres seating inside and outside with plenty of parking it can get busy here ordering ahead or on the kiosk would definitely save you some time if you're in a rush

AMAZING sandwiches ! we are moving from California and almost regret our decision after these sandwiches ! Stacy and Chris are the best !

Culture Club Sandwich 10/10- this might honestly be the best sandwich I've had in the US! They make it with turkey, ham, bacon, melted cheddar, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, their pow sauce, and house made garlic spread. Apparently this is where Dutch crunch bread originated from which I'd never tried before but I'm absolutely obsessed with now - it's this amazing bread that has this super unique crispy, crackly top that comes from a rice flour paste they put on before baking. The top has this perfect crunch while the inside stays so soft, which made it the ideal base for all the fillings. These sandwiches are loaded - they pile on the meats and don't skimp on any of the toppings. The turkey, ham, and bacon were all super high quality and I loved how the cheddar was perfectly melted over everything. The avocado added this amazing creamy element while the fresh veggies gave it the perfect crunch. Their pow sauce and house made garlic spread took everything to the next level - the garlic spread was incredibly flavorful and the pow sauce added this perfect kick that brought all the flavors together. Everything was incredibly fresh and while all the flavors were bold (especially that garlic spread!), nothing was overwhelming and everything worked so perfectly together. The portions are super generous too - definitely enough for two meals. I never really find myself in Huntington Beach but this sandwich alone is worth the drive. Such an incredible hidden gem in Orange County! Instagram: @hungrytamale
